    Default Hillsdale 5-21

Fished from 900 to 1400 Monday. Found them in 23' over brush. They wouldn't touch a bare jig but hit a jig and minnow a couple feet off the bottom. Got keepers on the first 9 drops so they were smokin' early. Got half of them on Kentucky Rigs (thanks Chatt) plus two channels. Most hit the top hook when fished over or in the pile. Put in at Marysville and didn't go far but couldn't find them way off the bottom like a few reports lately. Finished with 19.

Tried a new Navonics chip for the first time in my HB. Not as good as Jack's but it'll work. Didn't see any roadbeds. Guess that's one of the drawbacks. Oh well. Also need to figure out how to turn on the contour depths. They work on the computer. Liked the way it shows waypoints but the ones I transferred from a Garmin didn't show up. I think the different names screw them up. Can still use a goto for them. Can't wait to try the Texoma map.

Man you guys start web surfing early! Hope you were on the way to the lake. I forgot to mention that all the eggs were turning white/tan. I still see a few guys fishing shallow. Can't believe it's very good.

Nice catch! I got into White Bass schools on the flats. Caught 20+ in a hour stretch 13-16 inches in length. Whites were smoking hot on trolling plugs in 9-18" of water.
