    Thanks guys I will check out all the options mentioned. The sad thing is I drained the lower unit last fall. I did not lower the motor over the winter and am wondering now if that had something to do with it. I guess life is full of learning experiences....

    US Boatworks in KC, Kansas has used lower units. I got one there and it worked great.
