The silver with black and white hackle feathers with a few strands of flash in the tail, is the most consistent catcher. First one I tied, I used a silver pipe cleaner from Michael’s. Got a pack of silver, gold, red, and green. Gotta pinch the cut ends down or they will cut you. Very durable and I still have most of the original $5 pack!
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Working on a bleeding shad. Not happy with my first attempts, but I will ask the fish what they think.

That my friend is the way to figure things out most times. We all strive to tie good looking jigs we Think will catch fish. But the truth is, all that matters is the fishes opinion. And you can believe it or not, but a lot of times something that don't appeal to the human eye, fish will gobble up. Those ties will put fish in the cooler. Great job, for sure.
One other thing, don't think every jig of same color pattern has to be exactly as every other one of same color pattern. My proof is there are no exact cookie cutter fishes or prey in the water. Everything is just a tad bit different.
