    Default Hi group

Hi all, the name is Steve, new here, hopefully I can contribute meaningfully to your forum. In central iowa, mainly fish big creek, red rock, farm ponds, etc. Good to see there is some activity on the board. Would love to help get a club started, let me know how I can be of use.

You can start by promising to tell me where all your hot spots are on BC. I get out there 2-3 times a week, so have probably bumped into you. If you ever see a red 18ft triton with a 150 merc pushing it, give me a shout.

Oh, by the way, if it was necessary to "meaningfully contribute", I would have been kicked off a long time ago.

Yes, I think I've seen you out there. Maybe last Sunday night possibly? I am in a teal and silver ranger 17'. Have you been fishing lost lake lately?

Let's see, I loose track of time. I was out there Friday and Sunday, and yes to Lost lake. I alternate between there and a couple brush piles on the main lake. Did you do any good Sunday? I'm hoping the weather straightens out. My cousin from Springfield is coming up Thursday to stay the weekend, would like to get him a few Iowa crappie. He's the one that got me back into fishing April 2009 by getting me on Truman during the spawn. What a blast! We were down there with the Missouri CRappie.com guys during their "spring camp"

Ya, we hit one brush pile in a cove off the main lake, just got down right in it and caught 10 decent fish in an hour. This was good considering I was fishing with a 12 yr old and getting snags out half the time.

Wind is supposed to come down a little on Thursday and through the weekend. Should be a fairly nice weekend and the lake temp should drop so it might turn them on even more.

Would like to get down to Roberts Creek with the reports that have been coming from there. But will probably take the easy route this week and stay at Big Creek. I am taking Friday off and probably fishing most of the day, so maybe we will se you out there.
