Good report. I find it unusual as I caught bass and no crappies and couple other guys same also fishing elsewhere. This is indeed a crazy spring. I was going to try Boggs today after the rain, but think I will hit Patoka.
Had to go yesterday knowing the wind would be a factor. West Boggs had 16 boats out when we put in yesterday, many were bass fishing. Went to some of my spots after running electronics over a wide area. Crappie were not interested in jigs pulled or swimming but the bass were. Finally just fished for bass. One guy had four out of a down tree on minnows in deep water. Caught them at daylight and bite died in the sun.
This from my buddy. Dogwood today was pretty much the same. Little bass were all over jigs. The four other boaters he talked to had the same report.
I have one pond on the farm that has Crappie in it. I was surprised to find them since I never stocked it with Crappie. They always bite but not today. Bass were slow too. Water temps were 52-54.

Tear em up at Patoka, I am still fairly new to crappie but that is where I started a couple summers ago. I loved the lake, just got tired of 3hr drive one way

Friend of mine spider rigged at Boggs with minnows Sat. and didn’t catch nothing but a few small undersized bass. Wind eventually got the best of him.
