No one fishes brookville for crappie???
Any reports? Is there a size limit? Caught 6, 3' deep in 7' depth. All less than 9". Any creeks better than others, or main lake.

I have caught them trolling cranks for walleye, but haven’t fished Brookville for crappies. Caught several tho this year at 12 inches. They are drawing the lake down to winter pool now. Just looked and they are letting out 1000 cfs today.

I've only caught them there targeting other species. Unlike cevans, I've never caught any worth telling a tale about.

I started this year trolling cranks at brookville, and we had quite decent luck with crappie there for beginners. The sizes seem very good, rarely threw any back as most were 10"+.
We caught most of ours trolling bandit 300's around Egypt hollow break/flats.
From what I've heard, brookville is one of the better Crappie lakes around the area - and one of the better fisheries altogether.

from the internet reports(i dont fish it myself) that res. has been on downward path for a longtime. you used to hear a lot about the crappie fishing there. now you mostly hear about how many dinks were caught. good to hear apposing reports!
I have not caught any dinks this year, last year I did. I was out of state in June when I usually would troll for them some. I caught very few trolling this summer, but the few I did catch were all 9" or better. I troll Rapala glass shad or Berkley Flicher shad . I fished for walleye most of the time this year. I haven't done any fall crappie fishing there, that falling water thing turns me off. It's over a 2 hour drive one way too.
