    Default Geist Crappie

Went out with a good friend of mine last weekend, had a little bit of a rough start. Launched about noon and ended about 5pm. We hit a couple brush piles finally and we pulled in some decent fish. Best 7 with total weight of 4lbs 15oz, biggest weighing in at 1lb 2oz. Have never fished a tourney yet but looking to next season. What do you think about the weight?
Chris White - 2015 Ranger RT188, it sure is purty but it does not draw attention from fish, damn you salesman.

A bit above average weight. Median sack is usually right at 4 pounds. Throw out the blanks and that rises to 4.5 pounds. Would typically get you around 10th-12th place out of about 35 guys. On a tough day, could get you as high as 5th or 6th. Only way to find out how you'd fare though is to jump right in with the rest of the guys next season and see what happens.

Thinking about hitting a couple next season. Think it would be a great time. I am assuming your talking about slab masters tourney. Do you know when the 16 schedule comes out? Thanks for the input

Yeah, that data was based on Slabmaster's events on the lake. Last year the tentative schedule was announced the first week of Nov., so the '16 sched should be out before long. Watch their forum board (above reg IN board) and their website for details.

The tournament draw for the DNR permits is this weekend. You can expect the schedule to be out within the next couple weeks. It appears that Geist will be making a return to the schedule in 2016.
