    Default Patoka/ Sat. Feb. 19, 2011

No more cabin fever i have finally got out in 2011~~
Started out about 9 a.m. fished till 5:30 p.m., water ran 41 to 43 degrees, water clarity wasnt to bad, little green. STROLLED 3/32 oz teezur jig heads, with southern pro tubes, and lake fork tackle plastic minnows, with my B'n'M poles and cumberland crappie rodholders, around a few stickups today. Pictures below. Caught about 40 to 50 most in the 8 to 10 inch range with a couple bigger. one went 13 1/2 and one was a 14 1/2 and was a fat 14 1/2! Most fish suspended around 6 to 8 ft in 18 to 24 feet of water over the channel. Not a bad day for the first trip of the year and the first weekend of ice out

Nice catch. I am headed up to Patoka today. From the looks of those pictures you were in one of my honey holes or real close to it lol.

Thanks for the report wannabe. Nothing like working out the winter's cobwebs. How'd that front seat set-up work out for you? I'm afraid I would knock my fishing partner into the water in the heat of battle, lol. Might have to fish with skinny person only.
