Looks like great trip enjoy eating the perch they are so good. Looks like you know what you are doing fishing for them
Great day on the water!Plus Charlie Weis gets to keep his job another week or so.Perch were suspend at 16' in 24'.Gills came off the bottom just outside a weed edge that has'nt started changing colors yet, tight lining w/ red worms, the perch came on water wigglers. If you were pulling up browner weeds you had to move no fish there.Found some green coontail in deep water that the fish were holding in.Kept a few gut shot smaller fish but all in all a very productive day.Looks like the weather is going to take a turn for the worse for a few days,so I'm glad I got out yesterday instead of sucking down beers and watching football. Can barely make it out but that's a 2 litre bottle at the top.

Scaling down is the only way to go.2# test maxima ultra green mono and size 14 mustad aberdeen hooks w/ a thill neutral buoyancy bobber. The hard part of this set up is matching the weight to the float. You want it sitting right on the line beteen the red and yellow. Also don't cast too far the bites are really lite and you have to set the hook before the float is submerged or the fish will feel that little bit of pressure and let go.Also want a swivel above the weights to keep the rig from spinning up on itself. It's not a set up you want to retie a dozen times a day. Some of these perch are well over a pound and you have to backreel I just don't trust drag systems w/ such lite line. They also make hard runs right at the boat.
nice lookin catch!
Nice, thanks for sharring
Whens the fish fry and I'll clear my calender
We have some in sweetwater and cordrey lakes down here they are private lakes about 130 feet deep and clear as a bell. I fish for them in the winter.
