    Default Central Illinois

Tried Coffeen Lake. Mostly in the old hot water arm. 3 hours and not one single bite. Breezy out of the east. First skunk of the fall. Probably last trip, judging by the forecast. Happy new year.

Fished your home lake one time last year, set in one spot and caught over a 100 keeper crappie (tournament). wish i lived closer . coffeen is a tough crappie lake. sangchris, decatur, springfield, clinton ,taylorville and shelbyville are all better crappie lakes.

Hey Gerdy, I'm over here in the Quad Cities and it clearly looks like our weather is set to change.

Back when it was hot water, could go and get my 10 in a hour or 2. Haven’t fished it much since it was shutdown. Have heard Clinton and sangchris are good. Thanks

Coffeen hasn't been the same as when the power plant was active. The change in current and artificial heating is amazing.

I love Church: My favorite pew is the front seat of my Ranger, or in my friends boats.
