Best bet might be the fishing dock at the main boat launch, try minnows about 3-4 ft under a bobber they should start moving up in a couple weeks if we get decent stable weather
I'm trying to plan a family trip or two to Evergreen Lake during the month of April. I'd love to get some eating-size crappie, but with three kids under the age of 6, it's also important to just help them catch *something.*
So, with those objectives, what parts of the lake should we consider fishing? (I should mention we will be fishing from shore.)

Going to be tough this time of year and especially with the cool spring we are having. From shore, try deeper water that comes up by shore. Late April try the campground cove off either boat dock. Bring worms are try for Bluegill too.
