Default Anyone fishing during this eclipse

I'd like to know how they are biting couldn't get the day off. I don't care about the eclipse but wanted to fish before during and after it. Perfect day over cast and all

Jug fished Rend a little bit before eclipse started to kill some time, 10 channels. Caught 1 minute and 6 seconds of totality near the dam via the boat. Don't miss the next one in 2024! So cool!

A friend and I at work were wondering how the bite would have been too.

We had an odd experience on the lake just prior to eclipse. Everything was fine and normal throughout the morning. Then the GPS link to the trolling motor would not function. It behaved erratically taking us in circles. We gave up trying to lock on and went old school. Then as we began to prepare to leave the main motor would not start. No electrical power to start the motor. Neither of things things have happened before. We had trolling motor power and relied on it to get in to the ramp. We eventually got loaded on the trailer by hand winching. Watched the eclipse and called it a day. My buddy called it forgetting to fully charge the batteries. I called it solar eclipse electrical interference...haha. Is there any such thing?
