Default Central Illinois Crappie Club Schedule

Here is the schedule of tournaments for the fall.
All tournaments require you to be a member. We have reduced membership for the remainder of the year to $15 per person.
Each tournament has a $40 entry fee which includes $5 for the Big Crappie Pot. In order to have more winners we chose a format that paysout half the field.
Here is a list of Saturday tournaments.
    September 26th Lake Shelbyville
October 10th Lake Shelbyville ( This is a free tournament. Must still be a member. Prizes will be available. Designed more for fellowship purposes and bragging rights )
Here is a list of Sunday tournaments.
    November 1st Clinton Lake
    November 15th Lake Decatur
All applications are available on www.centralilliniscrappieclub.com

That October 10th tournament is during the Fall get together. I'd be interested in participating, but not interested in joining the club, also not interested in the prizes. Can I come on out and join in the fellowship without joining the club?

Good morning Tim. My name is Bud York and I am the tournament director for the newly formed Central Illinois Crappie Club. Thank you for your interest in our event. Our club decided to hold a free tournament on Lake
Shelbyville to encourage some of our newer members to jump into the exciting world of competitive fishing. We are also hosting a free Kid's event in Sullivan the following day. Sorry to hear that you are not interested in becoming a member. (half price or 15$ for the rest of the year seems like a pretty good deal for 4 tournaments and most likely another picnic or fish fry) Our Corps of Engineers permit was issued for a "small club" tournament. If you request a permit for an "open tournament" (allows both members and non-members) an entirely different set of criteria must be met. Also, the million dollar liability policy that we purchased was written to protect our members. Please come by anyway, fellowship is always free, but if you want to fish the tournament you must be a member.

    Hello Bud,
I run HOI Crappie Club, not interested in joining your club. If my memory serves me correctly, didn't you attend one of our tournaments at Clinton, not sure about last year, thinking it was more like two years ago. I'll be at the Crappie.com evening events. Stop on by and say high. Don't you preregister your members for the tournament, if so, you don't need liability coverage.

Good luck at your tournament. Don't worry I'll leave a few for you guys.
