Why is it that the fishing seems to be better on the North end of the lake right now?

Cause that is where they are being caught....shallow water warms faster....setting up for spawn sooner in shallow water because of it....

Been wondering how to bobber fish two foot deep! How far up the lake do you go? Does there have to be brush? I don't seem to understand the North end! Put them in forty foot and I can catch them!

Wizard--This time of year the fish are very finicky. When they say the bobber is 2 ft deep they could be fishing in as shallow as 3 fow or maybe 10 fow. one thing to remember, crappie always feed UP. their eyes are positioned on the top of their head unlike a bass which is more towards the side therefore they feed down or parallel often times. If your bait is BELOW the fish, they cant eat it. Setting a cork at 2 ft deep right now and popping standing timber is a good bet. U might have to fish 100 stumps but be patient, they are on the move.

good for you helping a fellow boater out. We were there and were among the ones struggling to catch em. Keep up the good deeds. Hopefully they appreciate it and will pay it forward. Lots of good people on crappie.com.
