    Default Rain Gear

I have a Cabellas gore tex rain outfit. It's about 6 years old and is starting to seep moisture around the seems. Does anybody have an idea what product can be used to stop this?

I've used the water-proofing kit from Cabela's a few years back on a Columbia rain suit. It work pretty good and was easy to use. I'm not sure if they still sell the kits or not.

Id check with cabelas and see what the warranty is on it. My Gore Tex suit has a lifetime warranty on it.

Yes, I have heard of a couple of guy's that have taken the suits back, and have gotten them exchanged with no questions asked.

I am from Mars. What product(s) names are they referring to???? "Gore recommends applying a topical water repellency restorative (DWR treatment) for outdoor fabrics, available at your local outdoor retailer. We do not recommend wash-in treatments as they can affect the garment's breathability."

Talon--I looked but could not find the receipt. I don't even have the other one. I've never washed it so I'll give it a try then try the DWR. It sounds like, from what I read, that washing and drying it should restore it's magic powers.

Washed the gore-tex and dried it at med. heat. Looked like new. Put it over the sink and dumped a glass of water over it and it beaded up and ran off like it was a newly waxed car. Thanks for all the help. xxl
