Welcome this this fine state of outragous taxes, and crooked politians
Greeting,
I've been a member on here since 06 off and on. I really started getting into crappie when I lived in Arkansas. I now live in Princeville Illinois. The closest lake I've found to fish is Snake Den. While the crappie fishing there is pretty fair the limit is only 5 crappie per day and dragging my fishing kayak up and down the strip mines is a PITA! Any input on decent fishing lakes around would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I only live a few miles from you. Before I try to suggest any lakes I'd like to ask how far you're willing to drive to fish so I don't suggest anything too far away. There's not a lot of good lakes that I'm aware of super close. I usually drive a bit for good crappie fishing.
Man......talk about two different extremes. Arkansas to Illinois. Get ready to loose your anus in taxes. Welcom though!
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
Coats,
Run a quick as you can These guys are telling you straight up !!!!!

How's it going : One foot in the grave, one foot on a banana peel, twenty people pushing !!!
I can't believe people are making fun of the great state of Chicago.
I lived here until I was 18. I'm used to the sea of corn and the crookedness. For good crappie fishing I'll drive as far as I need to. I know there isn't much around the Peoria area but any input is better than stumbling around trying to figure it out on my own.
Coats, sent you a PM.
This is a good topic.
I live in Peoria too.
I am heading to Banner Marsh today with the boy to try it out. I have never been there, and we are bank fishing, so if anyone has any pointers - much appreciated!
