Default Granson is still on fire

My grandson,8 years old, killed 2 turkeys in 2 days of the youth season.
Then last weekend he killed a 200# boar hog with his knife. the dogs had him and another guy as well had him down. Grandson out ran his other grand dad to the hog and whipped out his knife and stabbed him.
He thinks he is Tarzan now.

His grand dad said he was running through the thickets like a rabbit and he couldn't keep up. The guy on the hog, said he ran up there and whipped out his lock blade knife. The guy holding told him that knife was too small and gave him his sheath knife and he jumped on it and stabbed it.
He told me before he went he was going to kill a pig with his knife. I thought BULL!

I agree. I am not sure I would have let him do that with a live hog.

Young people think they are invincible...Older people have enough scars and bruises to prove we are not..

I know what you mean. The big red S on my chest has faded to light pink.

Sounds like a storm trooper to me . Teach him all the necessary skills to hunt, scout and clean . You will be the apple in his eye for life . Like knight shadow says teach safety also .What you have is very special . Congrats .
