You will be better off going to Lake Oconee. Check with Chad Smith 9706-207-2411), he will out you on them. Oconee crappie are generally bigger than north GA's.
I am new to site and new to crappie and bream fishing in the clear lakes in North Georgia. I have fished for years in the dark river waters in Florida’s St Johns River, but find this fishing completely different. Anyway, I am wanting to learn Crappie and Bream fishing around this area. Can anyone recommend a guide for either Lake Rabun, Lake Burton, or Seed Lake? I am also close to Lake Hartwell, but have read many reports concerning contamination of fish from that lake. Not sure what to believe, but I do enjoy the smaller lakes of Rabun, Burton, or Seed. Just need some help with learning to find and fish crappie and bream. Any advise would be appreciated.
