My baby Girl and I went down to lake Lochloosa this past Friday. It was the last major Florida lake I had never fished. The camp, Lochloosa Harbor was great with good people and OK lodging with a GOOD bait store and a OK diner on site. We caught at least two limits each day while releasing one limit. I would compare the Crappie quantity and quality of this lake to Lake Sinclair in Georgia with great numbers but so many dinks. Dark water so dark colors with orange or red heads worked best. In the three days we were there the fish went from deep water(12') to the cut line(8 to 4 FOW) to the pads. The big females were full of eggs. Water temp was 68-70 so this next week there will be many good fish caught in the shallows. Now it is time for Oconee and Clark Hill.
