    Visited my fiancé family in Hayesville NC this past weekend.We are planning to go back and spend a few days this spring.is there any good crappie fishing on the Hiwassee River?

    Can't help you with any info Kidd (sorry,) but yea....
    I lurk the Ala forum.... love to read threads from a bunch of "good ol' fellers" who try to HELP each other.

    There are crappie in the lower portion where it empties into Chickamauga, and back up river for a few miles. I have only fished it a couple of times, for full disclosure. PM tenncrappie on the TN board if you want more detailed info, as he fishes it.
