Nice!
Jim and I fished Lake Oconee yesterday. We combo trolled as usual. The water was 81 degrees when we started and 85 degrees at the end of the day. It was cloudy most of the day with a slight breeze which made for a pleasant day on the water. For us, the bite started slow but improved around lunch time. We were fishing in the woods all day. We marked tons of fish in a spot we hadn't fished in a couple of years. We were able to slog through a bunch of small fish and ended the day with 26 keepers. Our biggest fish was 13 inches. The fish were suspended from 8 feet all the way to the bottom but most were at a depth of 10-15 feet. We pulled a lot of double rigs and even added a pinch of weight to some of those. Our jigs were running 9-12 feet deep. As I said, the timber was thick but we didn't lose a lot of tackle due to the "Litewire" hooks we were using. I posted a short video on You Tube few weeks ago on pouring jigs for fishing in timber using the Litewire hooks.
