Default Be careful of jerks on the water...

this is what happens when a jerk in a speedboat comes around and cuts in front of you. I was on plane and hit his wake and went airborne and when I hit the lock on my Minn Kota let go and deployed, shattering the shaft and cutting the transducer on my Hbird 999. Luckily there was no other damage to my boat...managed to wrestle the TM back into the boat and make it back to the landing.

Drove to BPS, bought another TM and installed it so we could keep fishing Thursday and Friday...I have another transducer on the way from Hbird to get my 999 back into action.

Insurance has handle the claim quickly and I got the check for the TM and transducer today. Progressive is awesome.

Wow!!!! Hate to see and hear that Dutch. BUT....It is getting that time of the year. That's one reason I quit fishing in April...Glad to hear you are back on the water and that Progressive treated you right...That's who I have.

Karma, Maybe the speedboat will find a stump with his prop in the near future (without progressive). Glad you are OK and the TM was the only thing hurt, these idiots don't realize how quick it can go bad and someone really get hurt or killed.

I leave my sidearm in my truck just for reasons like this. It avoids the temptation of wanted to pull it out and fire a couple of rounds at these clowns. I've notice that the more patches they have on their shirts, the bigger blank-the-blank they seem to be. I think it's the patches!
