Default It'll be right around the corner.....

Had some down time between jobs this morning & went into Wally Mart. Found this package of grass shrimp baits (artificial) for 2 bucks & change. Was thinking of the shell cracker season, but the specks should take'em as well under cork. Also for the salt guys, they are selling them calm & shrimp stripes that look like sticks of gum & come in white, pink, & chartreuse colors, seen a u-tube video of this kayaker slamming black drum 1 after another with these baits......was surprised with the bait selection varieties, since I've last been there.

Good choice on the grass shrimp....I bought these on eBay a couple years ago and the bream slammed em. I like to catch live ones if I'm letting them soak for a few minutes but when I'm working an area and a lot of casting the plastics work better. Can't wait to get at em soon

Those are the best plastic shrimp I've ever seen. I've been getting a few but not lots. They're always fun though.

I tried those fish bite strips. Got some kind of fibers running through them. Ended up with a wad of stringy crap on the hook. Sticking with Procure on my artificials.

I've never fished for the shell crackers, but they say some good ones are being caught nearby. Let us know how the shrimp work, Jeff.
