My family and I have plans to visit the Orlando area the week of April 8th thru 15th. I was hoping some of you would give me some advice. I have a 17' Bass Tracker but I don't know if it will be coming with us. Mechanically it is fine but I don't want to ever leave it at the condo and I would hate to drag it everywhere we go.My son LOVES bass fishing but I would rather chase the specks. The wife doesn't care as long as it puts up a fight. We may take a head boat out on the coast a day or 2 but other than that we really don't have any plans. I guess what I am asking is what are my options for a safe place to keep my boat and what are some productive lakes in the area. My son will graduate high school in a few months so this will possibly be one of the last true family vacations for him so I would like to make it a good one for him. I wouldnt bring boat with you.. You can rent a boat or kayaks for a day pretty reasonably. also there are alot of places from shore to fish

What part of orlando are you going?

Sorry I have been really busy with work and little to no spare time. After listening to some of the input I am leaning toward leaving the boat at home. It is an 11 to 12 Hour drive and traffic is tough enough without pulling a trailer. Then consider the fact that weather may not permit us to use it. May be 2 or 3 week vacation but a week is just too short. I am leaning toward getting a guide for a day and then rent a boat if we want to. Take a trip to the coast, lagoon or gulf for a day. Spend one day shopping with my bride and the week will be over before we know it. Thanks for all the help, offers and input. If ya'll ever come to N.C. I will be glad to share what little I know.
