    Default Crappie Masters - St. Johns River


    ST. JOHNS RIVER, DELAND, FL, JANUARY, 27, 28, 2017 PDF Print
    Crappie Masters All American Tournament Trail will hold a National Qualifier and first leg of the Florida State Championship January 27, 28, 2017 on the St. Johns River, Deland, Florida. Sponsored by Renewable Fuels Association, American Ethanol, Bass Pro Shops, and the West Volusia Tourism Advertising Authority, the tournament will qualify anglers for the 2017 National Championship to be held on Lake Washington, Greenville, Mississippi.

    Late registration is on January 26, 2017 at the Sanborn Activity and Event Center 901 S. Alabama Avenue, Deland, FL 32724. Registration and voucher pick-up will begin at 5:00 PM with the rules meeting beginning at 6:30 PM.

    Weigh in will be at Ed Stone Park Boat Ramp 2990 W State Rd 44, Deland, FL 32724. Anglers will fish from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and must be in line by 4:30 PM both days. The weigh in is open to the public.

    I think last year our local guy's won the Crappie Masters in Deland, Steve and Larry Durdens, know them dudes. They used a pole, sinker, bobber, hook and minners, old bass tracker.

    Yes, I remember getting a kick out of hearing them explain there key to success..."Find a Mudfish, Find a Speck", hey, their money for entry was no different than anybody else....Good luck to all Locals next Week !!
