    Default It's Hot out there

My son and I decided to celebrate my dad's Birthday today by long lining one of his favorite holes. Been 5 years since he left for the big fishin hole in the sky but today proved he taught us right. Started about 7 and did not catch the first Spec till about 10, the bite was on good till about 12. Kept trying for a bit then decided to fish the canal banks for bass.Hot, hot hot! The temps and the fish. Ended up with 25 Spec's, all about the same as the one in the picture below. a Bull Gator that was guarding the fish, 5 small bass, and 4 big gills.

Great post, I'll take the heat any day, rather than the snow and cold!

Went out on Lake Toho today, much slower, only got 8 slabs, But did have a blast with my 12 ft crappie rod when I hooked a 4 1/2 foot Gar, Fought him for about 15 min. got him next to the boat for a picture when he decided he was having none of than and snap went the 6 pound line. Estimate him at 25-30 pounds, But whooooHoooo it was a fun fight.
