I can't wait til Dec 1st or 2nd & we start getting daily Crescent reports from Vic !!
So far this Fall I've noticed a few things...
*Lots of fish being caught in Woodruff, Monroe, Harney and Lochloosa. (many are small, but keeps you busy) Seems like fishing is improved from last year.
*Not a one good report from Crescent (so far).
*More wind than expected for this time of year.
*Phantom is back to fishing the freshwater.
*First true cold front....should spark even more improvement in fishing.
Just rambling on because I see lots of wind this week and since fishing is doubtful, thought I'd make a post anyway.

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
Is there "any" reports of things heating up over at Crescent yet? Looks like it may be later than normal before things get going up there
I hope that isn't the case for Vic and Eileen.

An observation I just thought of:
It seems we are all not completely sure we are seeing other fello CDCs while we are on the water fishing. For one reason or another we don't want to scream out a "HELLO" not knowing for sure they are who might think they might be.
Would be cool to have some type of small flag (like you see on the back or flying somewhere on the boat) with the CDC logo on it? It would be one way to know for sure they are part of your "Crappie Pack" of friends.
I would fly one because Im proud of our group of friends and how we all come/came together
1x1 foot flag would eliminate that guess work and at the same time show others how we are all part of the same group / family ?
A small flag with our Florida CDC log would be "distinctive" and create some "curiosity" with other fishermen?
Just a thought.

Stu, I like your idea because of the solidarity among friends is a good thing. But I have to speak of a down side that comes to mind. Ever throw a marker in the water and back up to fish it. No one, I repeat NO ONE! will pass by without slowing down and stopping back later to fish close to there themselves, punch a waypoint, or just pull up and start fishing right alongside of you. I believe that the end result would be folks following you around like you were giving away money. Now I might have one to wave at a potential CDC brother or sister, like the flags on the wide loads going down the road, with a crappie printed on it. I see where your idea has merit. Gotta be a reasonable way we can get the head goober on board with this.

They tried that (small flag with shrimp on it) on the shrimping forum.
Somebody put up a small amount of money to have a bunch made up,
didn't really go over that well, just a few went with it = eventually = never mentioned again ......
Just sayin ....................
"Teach a man to fish = he can feed himself "
"Teach the world to fish = you won't have any fish left to eat "
Your idea has merit - just have to continue to promote it..............
