Default Add a 2d FF to transducer

    Hi,
what would it take for me to add a second Lowrance HDS 9generation 2 unit, my existing transducer? ( two FF on one transducer)
I longline a lot and want a to see stop turning around all the time to see the FF.
    Thanks
PS. Every on the boat is networked together if that helps

If you have a lowrance network then just look at the ducer through the network but mount it where you can see. I have Humminbirds and can run 2 on the console and spin them around using a ram mount.

So I just need to run power and a cable from the network connection point to my new location?
I thought I’d need to split the existing transducer cable.

On Humminbird I just go into network and select the ducer from the other unit that is networked together. I imagined lowrance would be similar

I'm still kinda new to the new technology of fish finders but I did ALOT of research on lowrance units before I bought my units. I have two hds5 gen2's at the console and an hd7 gen3 at the bow. As long as my thinking is correct all you have to do is run power and use an Ethernet cable between the two units and you should be able to see everything on the new unit you can see on the exsisting unit. I believe what you need to do on the new unit is select the sonar source as the existing hds unit. No cable split needed. I know on my two hds5 units only one of them is connected to a transducer and I can view 2d, downscan, and side scan on both units I just don't remember exactly the settings to do it. If you need more help pm me and I will look at all my settings and help any way I can.

Ok I am not familiar with the network gateway as mine are routed through an lss2 box. I would assume as long as they are eithernet cabled together through it that it would be the same? Hopefully someone with some experience with the gateway will chime in.

Connect both units together with ethernet. Connect original unit to lss2 box. I would also use NMEA2000 to connect both together also. Ethernet will share full network data, but only the unit connected to the lss2 will have for history to scroll back and see what you missed.
