Default Removing Duct Seal From Transducer

I'm swithcing to a ram mount off the side of the kayak, but am having a hard time cleaning the remaining duct seal off of my transducer. Tried acetone and it took a little of the silver paint off of the top of the transducer and just smugded the seal around, did't really remove it. Idk if the silver paint has a function, it's a CV by Garmin. In any event, don't wanna remove any paint from the bottom of it. Anyone know a short cut or is it just painstakingly scraping every little bit off by hand? Thanks for any help.
