    Default Overboard

I don't know what I've got myself into....
Bought a helix 7 g2 si/gps for my lil boat. I don't think I'll ever figure all this out. Can't get on the water with it for at least two weeks so I've been playing on the simulation.

    Any tips/tricks/advice?
    Initial settings for si/di?
How to on importing coordinates for waypoints in my head?

    Geez

Thanks for any and all advice

    Adam

    I would add ...:

Change SI Sensitivity frequently up/down to change brightness/darkness of the SI image ...

Here is a little something I learned over many years of life. Old feller at work taught it to me. " Inch by inch it's a cinch " . " Yard by yard makes it hard. " He was training me on a pretty complicated piece of machinery.

I was trying to take everything in the first day. I had a 60 day training period. Taking what he told me to heart. I broke all the instructions down to simple steps. By the end of two weeks . What had seemed overwhelming at first became difficult but possible. After a month operation became rather easy. Well before the training period was up. My instructor was doing crossword puzzles to keep his mind occupied.

Hardest thing on any these spanking brand new electronics. Is learning how to use the menu to get to what you want to adjust. Make that your first small step and grow from there.

I would ask around in the area you live to see if anyone offers classes in your boat. That’s what I did and found the knowledge I learned was worth more than I paid for the unit. Would have taken years to learn what I was taught in 5 hours. If your near Kentucky Lake hire rnvinc he’s the best

Watch YouTube videos by The Technological Angler. Several short videos on how to set up the Helix units.
