High speed depth readings are sometimes challenging for any of the large imaging xducers because the housings are not hydro-dynamically shaped for clean water flow ...

It's like sticking a brick down in the water ...

If the mounting position allows clean bubble free water to flow across the face of the xducer - it is possible to get high speed depth readings ...

with a proper install it can be done. With the onix I can still get readings up to 54 mph that's as fast as my center console will go. I have seen the mega transducer get readings up to 60 mph
