    Default Helix shutting down

So, I installed my helix on my new to me boat. I can run the graph all day or run trolling motor all day but if I run them both after a couple hours my graph shuts down as if not enough power. TM power indicater still shows fair batteries when this happens and I can run it for hours after graph powers off so one would think their still enough juice to run both. any ideas?

Your finder needs to be on a seperate battery from trolling motor. Be it cranking battery or stand alone. These new finders are very voltage sensitive. After running troller for a while the voltage naturally starts to drop and at some point when you turn it on that initial drop from motor loading knocks it off line. Even though you have enough to run troller it's not high enough to keep finder powered up..
