Rickie is 100% correct. Echo it is from a 2D transducer that I have on the left side of boat. At some boat speeds it just shows up on my sonar screen.

Scrat, I have an 899 HD DI SI Humminbird and I have never been able to get my digital readouts anywhere but in a box on the upper left part of the screen. How did you get those readouts to go across the top on the screen shot? Also, how come the depth reading on the digital is 5.9 feet and on the screen it says 1.8??
When I seen the fish beds I touched the up down and sideways bar on my sonar to stop the screen so I could take the picture. This brought up the GPS bar at the top waiting for the curser to be moved to mark a certain waypoint. Maybe others can explain it better than me as I am still learning more and more every time I go out fishing. I also had the SI read out tab turned off.
SI Readouts (Advanced, Side Imaging® View only [899ci HD SI and 999ci HD SI]) Settings: On, Off; Default = On SI Readouts allows you to display or hide the digital readout boxes in the Side Imaging® View.
When SI Readouts is set to Off, Temperature and Depth will continue to be displayed on the screen.
NOTE: See SetupMenuTab:SelectReadoutsfor more information

The digital readouts at the top of scrat's image is the cursor data bar when the cursor is active (as scrat mentioned he activated the cursor to stop the screen scroll) ...
*Box 1 Cursor 0.0 = cursor distance from center line at cursor position ...
*Box 2 Depth 5.9 = water depth at cursor position ...
*Box 3 Distance 95.0ft = straight line distance from cursor position to current boat position ...
*Box 4 Bearing 165° = boat's current bearing to cursor position - 165° = ~SSE

scrat explained the "SI Readouts Off" to get the depth and temp overlay data at the bottom left of the SI image (except that "SI Readouts On/Off" is under the Sonar tab) ...
