    Default Garmin not displaying trolling speed


    Was on the water for the first time with my Garmin 73dv. While spider rigging with Terrova set at .5 mph, I noticed it does not display this speed. The wind picked up and it started displaying at .85. Is this normal? All other gps units I've had registered even the slowest speeds down to 0.

    If you go into the Overlay settings and turn on the speed display it should show. On my 73 sv, I can choose to turn this setting off along with other information that is on the screen such as time, temp, etc...

    Sorry I wasn't clear. The display is there but it just doesn't show speeds down below .85. Thx

    I found that the contours quik draw could be uploaded to my unit. After doing this my first trip back on the water Saturday I noticed that now I how slow gps speed. I guess they had put a fix in the software download.
