Thread: Best Quick Release Mount for new Ulterra?

I noticed a few of Minnkota's mounts support the Ulterra.

I'm interested in getting feedback on which one everyone likes best?

I have experience with two of the minn kota quick release mounts for the new ulterra. I have the smaller aluminum one on my pontoon. The only draw back is you must remove the side cover of tm to access the padlock if you use one. The other plastic quick attach my dad has on his ulterra on a pontoon boat. I personally do not like it. He has the 60" shaft tm and we had to drill the holes bigger where the metal rod slides in the plastic base cause the length of the tm made it hard for the holes to line up until we made the holes bigger. The one good thing is when you take the motor off the boat the plastic mount has a much smaller piece that stays attached to the floor of the boat. Overall I rather the aluminum bracket.
