    Default Hds 7 ram-ball

I was wondering if a 1.5 in. Ram-ball mount would handle a Lowrance hds 7 on the bow of a boat. I already have this size on my boat and was wanting to save a little money if it will work when I upgrade to a hds 7 unit. Currently running a elite 5 chirp on bow.

I would go bigger ball on the ram mount. Mine wiggles so bad going down, the road, I take the unit off to transport then install at the launch. The larger ball mounts have little to no wiggle or vibration when using larger electronics.

I've used the 1 1/2" ram mounts on a touch9 and use it on an HDS7 at my console now. My mount is pretty well straight up but it works fine. Name: image.jpg

I use Johnny Rays on me pondtoon. They wiggle like a belly dancer. I don't git excited anymore.
