    Default Garmin Crappie Screenshots

I recently got a 73sv. Still needs some tweaking to get the transducer right, but took some pretty cool screenshots of crappie a week or two ago.

caught a whole lot of fish out of all of these spots.

Curious as to whether you are running a cv ducer or the gt, since you say 'recently added'. Either way, great pics and thanks for posting. I am usually about the same speeds you show and am quite happy with my 93sv gt52.

I have the same Garmin and am still getting used to it. I find the Down Imaging to be difficult to see in bright sunlight conditions. I have changed the color to black/emerald and that helped a little. That's the down side the up side is I can easily spot fish on the locator and most often catch them when I see them on the sonar. Good screen shots from yours. That's exactly what we are looking for.

If I'm not mistaken the GT is the chirp diver which I do not have. I got the 499 bass pro special. Went to get the chirp one then saw the price difference once I got there and the cheap side of me said save money.

For me learning to find fish and understand how to read the graph the easisst thing to do was to find fish then look at them on my graph. Hoped these screenshots would help others. The traditional radar is what sticks out when I'm trolling around, then I can motor back over and get a closer look on the down image. Obviously you can see it better and in more detail looking at it on a screen in your house than in a boat in the sunshine.

The screens shows that he is using the CV40. I have the same unit with the same transducer and love the unit.

Thanks for these photos I agree understanding what fish look like on the screen is the toughest part of finding fish.
