Problem solved for me on mounting a Raymarine Dragonfly 7 Pro Transducer on Minn Kota Edge 45...
Thanks to Bryan at RayMarine he put me in touch with the fine folks at Transducer Shield and Saver which happen to be 40 miles south of me... I purchased a TSS-RM-2 a side mount plate SM-Plate-T plus straps... instead of shipping I made a quick trip there and the great ladies at TS&S showed me how to mount the unit... Now I am up and running...

No noticeable issue with signal due to fin... Dragonfly Pro is a down image unit so I have not had any problems with it.

I did a simular fix by drillng fin and grinding down one ear that screw goes through it fits flush against fin and botton of fin rest on ducer
