Default Seeking ideas to raise the Control Head above the deck for easier reading

I'm sure none of you have this problem (LOL), but my aging eyes are becoming weaker, even with the aid of Bifocals!!! Seeking advise and tips on how to raise my control head as high as possible (even waist high) above the deck on the bow of my boat, so I don't have to get on my hands and knees to read it! I've seen a telescoping mount, but it is only available with the purchase of a particular brand boat and not sold separate. My unit is currently on a Ram Mount, but still not high enough. Will consider DIY or a purchasing. Thanks.....

I like using this type of material, but I'm sure there are others. No welding required, just bolt on a base for the deck and a plate at the top to put the ram mount on. You can get this in any length.

Do a Google image search for articulating mount, there are a bunch out there that you could make work, I saw several that are made for computer monitors that would work.
An articulating mount would allow you to stow it back close to deck when under way.

Cheap and quick fix! I used a 4"x4" piece of pine to the height that I wanted with a hole drilled through the middle and used 4 small 90° metal angles to screw down to the boat then just screwed the mount to the top of the 4x4. You could also use a 6"x6" if you needed it bigger and stronger. Just cut it as high as you need and then paint.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Get with Callshay at Hi-Tec and have him make you one. He can build it ny height you want and can make you a base that will fit your mount.
