    Default CHERNOBYL WORMS

    Chernobyl WORMS
Last winter I was giving a Bass fisherman freind greif...about the intelligence of his targeted species
What's the Sport in fishing for fish that are so dumb they'll bite on a stick... (Litttorly)l
My Fishing and Lure building Mentor Proved it to me ( I was about 10) HE took a peice of Birch branch ABOUT 2 1/2" OR 3" long
and 1 1/2" in Dia. Bored a .060 hole through it cock eyed so the wire comes out at opposite sides
Loop in a 1/0 Treble hook "Farmer twist" the line eye and your ready for BASS FISHIN'
Anyway Dude gOt alittle hot, and hands me a Senko worm and wants me to better it! OK
This is what I came up with from a single worm... The mold is a work in progress...

Had some clear With halo glitter and some Blood red Plastics hot and decided to try to make some Chernobyl Blood worm with mixed results... I wonder if I should have had the plastic hotter or cool what do you guys think... Remember it's a non injected mold

    Default Safety First

Had to touch basis on your outcome here.

As heat is one of the greatest factors, and looking at the molds venting also could be another issue.

starting with room temperature which should be around the 70 plus mark
In which dealing with it any colder, find you may need a little help with a Hot Plate or what I use is an old electric fry pan, where I preheat my molds and injectors, which is a trial and error for getting the proper flow with whatever type injector or pour you are using.

Another factor is your plastic again you may have to push the temp a little hotter of course without it burning or starting to smoke which is not good to do without using a respirator and Gloves

Now it appears you have no venting runners, if you don't have it inscribed in one mold halve one can experience an air gap resulting in what you have.

    "Hope this helps"

    "Remember Safety First"

    Thanks Billy
I think you hit the venting on the head... Another problem is I didn't enlarge the pour holes when I added the legs!
ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES! I have good ventilation too ....
Since I'm back to my nook I can't post pix of the changes
