    Default Bamboo buckets

I'm going put some bamboo in 5 gal buckets with concrete. I don't really want to sink the plastic buckets. Has anyone had any luck getting the concrete and bamboo out of the buckets without destroying the bucket?

My thought would be to use a plastic heavy duty trash bag inside the bucket. I've never done this but may work!

Tried the trash bag. Didn't work. So we split the buckets about 3/4 of the way down and got the cement out. Then we used rope to tie the buckets back together, put another trash bag in and poured the cement in. When the cement dried just untie the bucket and pull the bag and cement out. I seem to always over think things and make it more complicated than it should be.

I don't know if it would work. As a kid I would watch the crew pour curbs in a new community. They would spray oil on the steel forms, supposedly the concrete wouldn't stick to the steel.
I've read a few threads about splitting the bucket down both sides from the top to the base, leave the bottom untouched. Use duct tape to seal the split. Place a loop of wire in the center if you plan to control your drops.
I see you're in MS too. I have a ton of 5 gallon buckets, some with and without handles. If close, stop by for some.

I used a concrete block, then a little concrete to hold the cane in place.

try greasing the bucket with axle grease that is or diesel fuel that is what we used on plywood forms to make them release from concrete

Plastic bag in the bucket should be much cleaner and not pollute the water like fuel would .

Plastic bag in a split bucket works good. But I do like the looks of that concrete block a quickcrete.
