Thread: Off Shore Tackle - DIY Idea Contest

After trying several things, like rubber bands, tape,etc.... and instead of paying $3-4 dollars for a pair of rubber coated wire holders I found that soft solder in about 3/32" dia. works great, nice and soft, easy to wrap around rod and straighten's right out and may be used over and over...... and soft enough it doesn't scratch anything....... I cut two pieces about 7" long and they work for both ends........

Soon, I'm just waiting for more votes to come in. They are secret voters, so don't ask who they are. I had to reach a little outside my family cause they are not all that familiar with the concepts submitted here.

After much deliberation, we chose the winner for his ideas and his instructive manner in which he described how to perform the project. Cane Pole should have been an obvious choice, but he only showed us all his accomplishments and ideas, he did not tell us how to do them. So I declair the winner to be:
