I visited with my Grandson in Illinois prior to going to MS Camp at Grenada. He's gonna make a good fishin' partner some day.
From the Indiana and Illinois snows I encountered, Billbob and I headed to Mississippi Crappie Camp. We could not wait to get out of the cold and misery.
Grenada was certainly warmer than where we came from, but it was also was way high. The extreme rains received throughout the area had Grenada Lake looking even more so like chocolate milk!
Finally could relax in Mississippi. 'Flinger showed us exactly how to do it right!
Pepper too (dog in background with sweater) was learning how to relax.
Then it was on, Ennivator took the guber and I fishing, and we did greaqt.
OF course we did great, we were fishing by the man in the know, Feelay (Carl's Guide Service 901-734-7536). Give him a call if you want to get on some fish.
We had a riot catching fish.
What a nice mess. And I'm not talking about the two gewbers standing above the fish! lol
Then as has happened many times before, Orville spoiled us with some great food.
More and more members started to drop in.
It was great to see Barbie. Didn't know she could dance like that! I think she was doing a "no rain" dance! doh
Gewbers waiting for food (in above pic, and below).
That's Mitch Glenn behind Cray. Mitch owns PICO Lures. He brought PICO door prizes. I'm telling you, PICO plastics with those "Scent Rings" can really hold the Slabsauce.
What a great event with a big turnout too, even though the weather was not exactly fantastic. The rains threatened, but held off. I guess Barbie's anti-rain dance worked.
Pepper found a warm friendly lap. Lacey and Pepper took a nap there in that chair shortly after this pic was taken.
So as I drove home in the early hours of the morning after dropping Billbob off, the snow held up one more middle finger at me (hope I don't get in trouble with G for that comment, doh)! At points it came down like I was in a blizzard. Unreal for this time of the year, but oh well, I was heading to Florida. I am so done with snow it ain't funny.
And guess who was plum tuckered out after all the excitement of his first Crappie Camp (even after that nap on Lacey's lap). He slept for the whole 14 hour drive home. I drove straight through only stopping for gas. I did not even eat. I was afraid to even reach into a bag of chips for fear of waking Pepper up and having to walk or water him. He did not move from that position you see him in that pic above.
And the other crazy thing that happened during this trip was that Richard Gene (the fishing machine) posted about 4 video's where he uses and loves Slabsauce. Sales went through the roof. I was shipping Slabsauce out from the Billbob travelling warehouse! I posted some of those videos here if you're wanting to see them:
http://www.crappie.com/crappie/list....e-Testimonials Richard is a great guy, very down to Earth. And I'm so glad he loves the sauce, the Slabsauce to be exact!
