• Missouri Crappie.com Camp Pics...

After KY camp and a visit with Cane Pole, Billbob, Abbey and I went to Missouri Crappie.com camp. I threw together a couple pics here to share...

Looked like there was gonna be trouble on the way there.

Looked like we would not be able to set up my tent. The power might not work good.

And then I found the real trouble. Tomtom, Mary, Paul and Vonna. When we seen the campground was flooded out, we went to the marina to eat shrimp.

Then we set up camp in some field somewhere (or so it seemed like). "G" came all the way from Sippy just to deliver that wood step you see in the pic in front of the RV's side door. Well not actually, but he did bring that step. This was his first MO camp and seemed to really enjoy himself. Mitch aka Pico (of PICO Lures) also made it up from AR). It was a great turnout from some out-of-staters who decided to take the drive at the very last minute. Sorry about the 14 hour drive "G" (got caught up in detours caused by all the flooding).

And since the gewber (Billbob) needed his automatic step workin' (otherwise he'd prolly fall down on his many wake up calls in the night), Speck went into action.

"Speck did it", that's all I got to say. The step works now, well kinda. At least the gewber won't do a face plant now, thanks Speck.

The Motley Crew. Hdhntr, Byford, Jigfisherrx and "G".

Dale sizing up the shirts. Not sure this 4xl was the right choice but the shirt looks good.

Me with Tomtom and Mary. I had to send a selfie to wifey to show that they made it.

Jigfisherrx sure knows his Cobbler. They were absolutely excellent.

And so it began, Billbobs "pics with chicks" (the customary pictures with the women of camp).

I was a great event with a lot of attendees, especially considering the lake level and the fact they closed the camp ground.

Billbob and Abbey were all tuckered out on the ride home.

It sure was. My and wifes first camp and even tho we were flooded out of bucksaw resort and had to wade it out, didn't matter. It was the family of CDC that made it outstanding. Thanks to all who did so much to make it happen. Maybe next year we can have some good fishing but didn't really matter.

What a great turnout! Even with all the mishaps, it looks like everyone had a good time. Just rubbin elbows with Crappie folk puts a smile on my face.

      Looks like a great weekend.

Wonder where he got those cobbler recipes? Maybe from the video I posted last year?
