• Fishin Trip

Last Sat fishing report but in the last week and a half I've made 3 trips to the same spot in the private lakes I fish and have caught 24, 28, and 22. I've been in a cove in 3' to 4' of water. Water temps have been 57°-61° degrees with our crazy weather. These were caught on minnows and an Arkie Shinee Hinee under a float in one spot without having to move the boat. I only fished 2-3hrs starting at day break. All I've caught is males with their tuxes on with a few in the 2 to 2 1/2 lb range, the females haven't moved in yet. The fish are in a 24qt cooler
and a few almost reach end to end. I feel like the females have moved in by now but I haven't had a chance to go again. If you go to Google Earth and put in Pine Lake, Banks Al you will see the 3 lakes that all flow into each other. These are not membership lakes and the owner has given out very few keys( I'm blessed)

Very nice! Congrats bud. I hope to go soon after these storms pass. Thanks for the info on what they were biting. I have a few of those Shinee Hinee baits myself. The females where I'm at, I'm hearing are still deep also. This weather has em confused. I usually go at dawn or 6ish ... good bites till around 9am, then it stops. I go home. Maybe I'll have a chance one day to get out there in a boat and chase the deeper ones. The Piers at Lay Lake Beeswax Park (3 Piers) ... first two sitting in 5-8 ft of water, the other sitting in 12 ft. I try a different spot each time. They have a bridge too, but it's so grown up and snakes are out.

Good luck on catching the females!

Wow! Nice crappie. Nothing like having a secret crappie honey hole. Thanks for sharing the report and pictures.
