Its funny I ran into this post. I do remember hearing something about no bananas a long time ago. I never take them with me... But; Thursday I brought 2 bananas with us. I had 6 very unusual glitches. The worst being my trolling motor dropped all the way down to the mount ; upon inspection my hand tightening screw bolt (the one you loosen to take shaft off mount) had striped the threads out of the mount. Major headache ; I am lucky it didn't fall in the water... To add insult to injury ; we didn't catch any keepers. Coincidence - I don't think so... Never again: NO BANANAS IN TH BOAT!!!!!!!

Sorry rpatton ; I lost focus... NO BANANAS IN THE BOAT! I agree with the other fellas. But that's a lot to remember. If you were invited out that means the boat owner is good people and so are you. Just ask him up front what you need to do. Likely he will say nothing; that doesn't mean you are not qualified that just means he , like most of us old dogs, has a routine that doesn't require a helper. Other that that just relax, learn and above all HAVE FUN. Oh also don't puke, burn holes or spill stinkbait in the boat.

Wow! How incredibly rude for anyone to even think about smoking in YOUR boat! And then to damage it !!! I hope you addressed this with them.
