    Default 2 man pontoon boat

I'm thinking of getting one of those two man pontoon boats. Do any of you have one of these? If so, how do you like it? What are some of the drawbacks or advantages?

in my opinion for the size you cant beat em. more stable than a 10ft jon boat and can go anywhere.

Are you referring to the ---Foldcats boats? As in here.

    FoldCat Inflatable Catamaran

I have a fishing partner that did have couple Scamps boats, and sold them and purchase this FoldCat inflatable boat. We have used it three or four times since. I's great for small lakes, or river fishing. I don't trust it for lakes that have large waves. But it make work on them as well.

    Default Two man boat

I now have a Basstender 11.3 and have had a Basshound 10-2. Both are two man boats and PERFECT for crappie fishing. They are stable, small enough to get into tight spots, have aerated live wells... The Basstender will handle up tp a 15HP outboard. I've tried to insert a photo.

I've had 3 or 4 of these over the years. The one I have now is the 10 ft model that Academy Sports sells. It's the best i've had so far. It's perfect for Bream or Crappie fishing. They are the perfect boat for running yo-yo's in my opinion.

I have a Skookum cataraft, single seater w- (9 ft. tubes). For ten years, yearly in Mar. I have used it on many lakes & rivers in ARK. when I visit. Can't beat it for fishing, exploring, traveling open water and in tight. Lot more access ability than with my boat. I have the white water model, steelheader, - go to Skookum.com. MY unit is not cheap but depending on what you expect for performance, and demands you will make, invest accordingly. I have also carried 150lbs of camping gear and floated the Big Horn, running white water and camping & fishing for a 200 miles. Even at home (WI) I use it more than my boat having more fun on lakes people don't fish because they can't get a boat in - you'd be surprised how great the fishing can be on these little used lakes. If u need further info. feel free to contact me.

First let me say I love my 2 men plastic boat before I say anthing about the drawbacks. They are every stable and can hold a ton of weight plus has more room then you think. All my fishing buddies loves it,we liked to worn that thing out when I first got it.

Drawbacks huh, throw it in the back of the truck, load cooler,chairs,batterys,T.M.,ect. in it.Now when get to were your fishing unload all the stuff in the boat.Throw boat in water now load stuff back in boat go fish and be pepaired to unload and load all over again. The real drawback tho is if you haveta drag the boat over logs, sticks, mud every far you'll be to tired to fish by the time you carry all your stuff to the boat over logs and mud.The other drawback is not haveing a fishing buddy in the back of the boat to help when you go by yourself lol.

All in all I like my 2 man boat nomatter how many drawbacks they are, they are great little boats.

    Default Two man boat

I own a Bass Baby that will load in the back of my long wheel base pickup and I can close the tail gate. It comes equipped with small plastic wheels inset in the back of it. You can pick up the front of the boat and push/pull it where you want to go. I have never had a boat that is so handy to fish from. It has wide gunnels for carrying rods, etc. Comes with two seats. I weigh 260 and I have fished with my son (240#) several times and it still has plenty of freeboard. Only drawback I know of is the shape of the bow. It hits the bottom about 2 feet before I am ready for it to. I have to take a long step to get out without getting muddy and wet. It is now built in Georgia and I have seen them in Cabelas and BPS catalog. I don't think you will find a better two man boat than this one. Hooker

    Default Pelican Bass Raider 10E

I have one of these and very much enjoyed it. Loading and unloading in the back of a pickup truck was the difficult part, but if you had a trailer than it wouldn't be an issue.

Last week I bought a 17' Bass Tracker, so if anyone is interested in a 2 man Pelican Bass Raider let me know (not sure if I can post a 'for sale' item here).
