Default Taking dad fishing tomorrow at Shoal Bay

Dad is getting up there in years and mentioned wanting to go crappie fishing. He hasn’t been in years and I haven’t been yet this year. I called him up and told him to be ready in the morning because we are going. Anyone know how the bite is at Shoal Bay on Dardanelle? I’d love to get him on a few slabs. He hasn’t had much of a hobby for years and I’d like to see him get excited again.

I haven't heard anything but the best of luck to you.

Never been to Shoal Bay, but my dad and I have campsite reservations there this weekend and plan on checking it out. Good luck tomorrow, leave a few for us.

My guess would be fish 15 feet deep in 25 -40 feet of water. Just a guess based on where we fished today.

We got shut out this morning, single pole using a variety of colors of tube jigs. Water temp 59. No activity shallow, would have thought they would be getting ready for the spawn. Some spider riggers were catching a few on minnows in the narrow channel in about 20 fow. Gonna try our luck again after lunch hoping for good afternoon bite

I don't feel so bad now after only catching three on Booneville Lake.

The Spawn doesn't seem to be here as quick on Dard as it was last year. I guess all the rain and cooler temps have affected it?
