    Default The Big O

My daughter and I left out Thursday and came back yesterday, we fought wind every day managed a 8 keepers, lots of dinks. Water is still extremely low found a cove Saturday afternoon loaded with shad. Lots of fun watching the stripers gouging them selves. Also watching Samantha trying to catch them with her pole. I wish she would of caught one of them she would of been in for a fight

Sounds like a good trip. Ouachita is either feast or famine for me. Some days you zero and some days you limit out on the same stuff. It's an interesting lake with a ton of giant fish!

I have had mixed results on Ouchita. I have had those days where fish bit at every brush pile and other days I would think there wasn't a fish in the lake. Ouchita was the first lake I caught a black nose in and it has definitely treated me better than lake Catherine does.

I have yet to decide if the fish get lock jaw out there a lot or if they completely move off of every pile at the same time lol. Maybe they move out and chase shad some days.
