Saw that... What a shame. My wife just told me they found his boat overturned... That wind was kicking today.... Hopefully they find him safely but it's not looking good.

A terrible situation. We all need to consider this a reminder of how our sport can go wrong at a moments notice, especially in the winter. If a person ends up in the water, extra winter clothing could prevent them from staying afloat without a life jacket. Cold water temps also can cause hypothermia faster than a person realizes. If the water conditions are dangerous, don't go. A fish isn't worth it. If you don't know the water, run slow. We haven't had much rain, and the water levels for the most part are much lower than what they usually are at this time of year.

I guess what I'm saying is be safe guys. I don't want to be reading the same story about any of us.

A prayer goes out for the family.

I myself keep the vest on when the boat is in motion heading for my destination, i know a lot of people that have there vest in the compartment and never remove it,when i stop to jig or pull cranks or whatever that vest is very near just incase, it's like a smoke detector it can save your life when the battery is in it.

    My prayers for the family.

Routine things that we become complacent with can change on a dime. We should always keep that in mind on the water and in everyday life.
    Tell'em I'll be there.
